New York Art Resources Consortium (NYARC), in partnership with The Internet Archive, recently received an Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) National Leadership Grant in Curating Collections. The grant, entitled Advancing Art Libraries and Curated Web Archives: A National Forum, will facilitate collaboration among art libraries and museums for the creation of collections of web-based art resources for scholarly use. This webinar is led by Karl-Rainer Blumenthal and aims to share information on the key challenges and opportunities that art libraries face in archiving born-digital resources. Initial research will lead to reports, a national forum and workshops that build on other emergent efforts to form alliances and catalyze a community of practice focused on collaborative models that support the mission of art libraries.
