Aphid webinar for potato growers

Accurate aphid identification is the first step toward effective management and reducing virus transmission risk. In this webinar, we focused on aphid identification in potato systems. We discussed how to recognize common aphid species found in potato fields, how to distinguish them from other insects you may encounter while scouting, and the diagnostic features specialists use to identify aphids to species. We also discussed why species-level identification matters, particularly for assessing the risk of Potato Virus Y (PVY) spread.
