Grab your morning beverage and join us to learn more about five MI bird species! Each session we’ll highlight birds that you can find in our SW Michigan backyards, woods, and waters this time of year.
Guest speaker Marissa Jardine from the Bird Center of Michigan will share insights on how we can help protect local songbirds. Topics include:
Common reasons birds arrive at the center and how we can help
Window collisions and prevention tips
Cat-caught birds and safe practices for pets
Baby birds and preventing unnecessary orphaning
What to do if you find an injured or orphaned bird (including life stages)
There is no fee for this online program but to receive a secure link to the zoom meeting. Your hosts are educators: Lisa Duke and Misty Klotz from Kellogg Biological Station and Kellogg Bird Sanctuary. Zoom in and participate by sharing your recent bird sightings and asking questions!
