Building Community through Archives, 2025 ARLIS/NA Conference

The Architecture and Urban Planning Section hosted a panel discussion devoted to archival research in the built environment. With increasing interest in primary source material and accessing such material online, this is an opportune moment to hear from a variety of practitioners working with architectural archives in distinct institutional and cultural contexts. The speakers introduce their collections and then speak to prompts exploring how they approach inclusive and representative collecting, public outreach and education, and digital access. The speakers are:

• Elena Garcia Orozco, Architecture and Construction Archive at the University of Puerto Rico
