Social Group Membership and Hierarchy

The purpose of this topic is to get you to start thinking about social group membership and social hierarchy. To get started we want you to watch 2 videos, one explains why social stratification exists, and one explains social stratification in the U.S. context. Our purpose is to introduce you to the concept of social power hierarchies. After reviewing the videos and watching a presentation, we would like you to reflect on the implications of these concepts to MSU and your role.
