The LeFrak Forum Student Retreat in Austin, TX

The LeFrak Forum on Science, Reason and Modern Democracy at Michigan State University Director Raul Rodriguez led a college student retreat on Alexis de Tocqueville's Democracy in America at the Kingfisher Center in Austin, Texas Jan. 5-9, 2026. The retreat joined MSU and U-T students together to explore Tocqueville's political thought through seminar discussions and engaging lectures. Participants also engaged in meals, fellowship and outings such as hiking and kayaking.
