WLI Entry - Zoya Shevchenko

My name is Zoya Shevchenko, and three things I am passionate about are Graphic Design, sustainable fashion, and advocating for Climate Action. In the near future, a huge aspiration of mine is to combine my three major passions into an app. I want to design an app for clothing bartering that individuals may use to barter or borrow clothing for cheap with those in close proximity. This is a little different from apps that already exist such as Mercari and DePop, where users can purchase used items. This app could serve for cases such as halloween, where individuals typically buy something to wear for a weekend and quickly abandon it. With enough usage, an app such as this one could drastically alter how we shop and could have a really positive impact on the environment.
